About this data
These pages come from the City of Salinas NetFile public portal's exports of e-filed campaign data for 2025 and 2026: the 2025 export was generated 2026-09-25 and the 2026 export 2026-10-27. They cover statement periods through 2026-10-17; some committees' latest statement ends earlier.
Some committees filed their 2026 statements on paper, which the exports do not include. For them, the summary totals were read from their paper-filed Form 460 statements: filing 217038488 (received 2026-07-08) and filing 217534118 (received 2026-09-28) for committee 1482360, and filing 217503619 (received 2026-09-23) for committee NF-217503420. Every figure from a paper filing is labeled with its filing IDs and received dates.
Later reported receipts come from Form 497 reports filed through 2026-10-23. Reports filed after the exports, including the second pre-election statements and later 24-hour reports, are not included, and neither are other paper filings. Check the City's portal for newer filings.
The site's other finance pages, such as the Money Trail, cover earlier filings from 2024 and 2025 and are a separate dataset.
How to read these numbers
- , , , , , , and are separate measures. They are never added together.
- Later reported receipts are contributions reported on Form 497 after a committee's latest full statement. They are shown separately, not added to the statement totals.
- Loans and in-kind contributions are shown separately from monetary contributions.
- Ending cash, itemized unpaid bills and outstanding debt are balances at the end of a statement period, not totals over time.
- is the span of dates that a committee's statements cover. It differs by committee.
- Each full statement is checked against its own summary page. The check status on each committee page says whether it was .
- Two candidates on the City's roster have no matched committee in these exports or in the paper filings read here. Their figures are shown as , not zero.
- Figures read from a paper-filed Form 460 statement are labeled with the filing IDs and received dates. A measure the paper form does not establish, such as later reported receipts, is shown as not established, never zero.
- Individual contributors below the disclosure threshold are into one row per committee and year, with their names withheld.
What the labels mean
Select a label to read what it means on these pages. The Sources and method page explains how each measure is built.
About these numbers
- Each 2026 figure is its own measure. The 2026 figures are not added together, within a committee or across committees.
- Unavailable (not zero): Shown when a figure could not be established from the filings used here, such as when no committee was matched to a candidate or a committee has no 2026 full statement. It does not mean zero dollars.
- Names withheld: individual contributors below the disclosure threshold are pooled into one row. Pooled amounts remain in funding totals.
- Loans, in-kind support and contributions reported after a committee’s last full statement are shown separately from monetary contributions.
- Reports filed after the export date may be missing. Check the City’s NetFile portal for newer filings.
- Positions of ballot-measure committees are as their filings or the City’s portal state them. They are not endorsements by Transparent Salinas.
Sources and method
Figures come from campaign statements that committees filed with the City of Salinas, as exported from its NetFile portal. Each measure is kept separate, and amounts are rounded to whole dollars.
